Hope College will present its annual Tulip Time organ recitals, Wednesday-Saturday, May 8-11, from 10 a.m. through 12:50 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
Occurring every half-hour, the 20-minute performances begin at 10 a.m. with the last performance starting at 12:30 p.m.
Two organs will be used in the recitals: the Chancel Organ, which was built in 1929 by the E.M. Skinner Organ Company of Boston, Massachusetts, and renovated in 2005 and 2006; and the Gallery Organ, built in 1970 by Pels and Van Leeuwen Organ Company of Alkmaar, the Netherlands.
The organists will include six alumni, two students, a faculty member and a guest artist: Jonathan Bading (鈥�18), Austin Becksvoort (student), Mark DeWitt (鈥�87), Caron Farmer, Thomas Gouwens (鈥�72), Sam Grosskreuz (鈥�24), Huw Lewis (professor of music), Patricia Pratt (鈥�81), Sam Shuler (student) and Richard Van Oss (鈥�75).
